IBBUL RELEASES ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), Niger State, has officially released the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement was made by the University Management through the office of the Registrar after a Senate meeting held earlier this week.

According to the approved schedule, academic activities for the new session will commence in October 2025, beginning with the resumption and registration of students across all faculties. Both new and returning students are expected to complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid late registration penalties.

The calendar outlines key academic events, examinations, breaks, and resumption dates throughout the year. Below is the breakdown of the major highlights:

FIRST SEMESTER (2025/2026)

  • July 6 – July 18, 2026: Second Semester Examinations.

  • July 19, 2026: End of Session Break Begins.

The management emphasized that the calendar is subject to adjustments if necessary, depending on internal or national circumstances. However, students and staff have been urged to adhere strictly to the academic schedule to ensure a smooth academic year.

Officials also advised students to begin preparations ahead of resumption, particularly with accommodation arrangements, registration documents, and required fees. Newly admitted candidates are encouraged to visit the university portal for clearance guidelines and payment procedures.

The release of the 2025/2026 calendar has been widely welcomed by the student community, especially after expectations and discussions surrounding earlier academic interruptions affecting universities nationwide. Many students expressed optimism that the session will run smoothly without prolonged disruptions.

For further details, students are advised to visit the official IBBU website or contact their respective faculty offices.

This development marks another step in IBBUL’s continued commitment to providing stable and quality education to its students across Nigeria and beyond.
