Ned Nwoko responds to Regina Daniels’ allegations

Senator Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he pursued actress Regina Daniels for marriage or that he married her when she was a minor. The lawmaker made the statement in response to recent public controversy following Regina Daniels’ accusations of domestic violence and her announcement that she wants out of the marriage.

Nwoko refuted allegations circulating on social media that he married Regina at age 17. He stated that Regina was born on October 10, 2000, and got married to him at 19, not 17.

He also claimed Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, introduced and brought her to him for marriage, stressing that he never went after her. According to Nwoko, witnesses can confirm this.

The dispute has drawn wide public attention, with calls from some Nigerians and celebrities demanding Nwoko’s resignation from the Senate over the controversy.
