A heated altercation between popular social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) and comedian Mr Jollof caused major disruption on a United Nigeria Airlines flight on Monday, leading to both men being removed from the aircraft and handed over to security officials. The incident, which occurred during boarding on a flight from Asaba to Lagos, has drawn widespread attention across Nigeria’s digital space.

According to eyewitness accounts and video clips circulating online, the clash started when VDM confronted Mr Jollof shortly after boarding, reigniting their ongoing social media rivalry. Voices were raised before the confrontation escalated into an exchange of physical blows, forcing passengers and cabin crew to intervene.

United Nigeria Airlines confirmed the incident in an official statement, noting that the decision to deboard both individuals was taken “to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all other passengers and crew.” The airline stressed that it maintains a strict zero-tolerance stance toward violence or disruptive behavior inside its aircraft.
