FG endorses NIHOTOUR’s cultural promotion efforts

The Federal Government has endorsed the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism’s (NIHOTOUR) efforts to promote culture, drive economic growth, and support youth development.

Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, stated this during a press briefing in Abuja, on Thursday.

Musawa said President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to initiatives that deepen economic growth and youth development.

She highlighted the upcoming “Taste of Culture 2025” event, theme; “Oriki-a royal dining experience” a gastronomy scheduled for December 6th, 2025, which aims to create opportunities.

The Minister pledged her administration’s commitment to showcasing Nigeria’s potential, stating that the event will open up opportunities for economic growth, youth development, and promote the culture and tourism industry.

In his remarks, the Director -General and Chief Executive Officer, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Aare Fagade, said hosting of the mega Renewed Hope NIHOTOUR gastronomy Festival, is in line with Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Fagade explained that the initiative is designed to empower Nigerians, drive inclusive economic growth, and unlock the creative and productive potential of the people.

The DG stated that the 5th edition of its annual gastronomy event, is an opportunity to showcase Nigeria to the world, attracting Investors, entrepreneurs, and tourists while opening business prospects across the food, hospitality, and agribusinesses value chains.

He said the occasion serve as a direct invitation to tap into Nigeria’s expanding gastronomy economy, create jobs, and generate sustainable returns.

Fagade added that there will be unveiling of President Bola Tinubu’s national food signature; a vibrant blend of food, culture, fashion, music, and lifestyle to boost domestic and international tourism.

He said the mega Renewed Hope NIHOTOUR gastronomy Festival and Guinness world record longest dinning table attempt, is expected to be unveiled by Bola Tinubu, which will mark a new chapter in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism excellence.
