CIBN confers fellowship on Keystone Bank CEO, Hassan Imam




Hassan Imam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Bank Limited, has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).



The honour, regarded as the highest recognition in the Nigerian banking profession, was conferred on him during the Institute’s 2025 Fellowship Investiture Ceremony held on Saturday in Lagos. The event was graced by top government officials, industry leaders, and senior members of the banking community.

Imam received the fellowship alongside 40 other distinguished professionals who have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the nation’s financial sector.

According to the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the fellowship is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, outstanding professional achievements, and impactful contributions to the banking industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President and Chairman of the Council of the CIBN, Professor Pius Olanrewaju, praised Imam and the other honourees for their visionary leadership, commitment to innovation, and dedication to sustainable banking practices.

In his remarks to the press, Imam expressed deep appreciation to the Institute and its Governing Council for the honour.

“I am truly humbled to receive this distinguished recognition from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. This achievement is shared with every member of the Keystone Bank family whose dedication, innovation, and hard work continue to drive our success,” he said.

Imam is a respected banking executive with over three decades of experience across multiple areas of the financial services industry. His leadership has driven the transformation of Keystone Bank into a modern, customer-centric institution focused on digital innovation, strategic growth and impactful community development initiatives.

He holds an MBA from Business School Netherlands (BSN), an MSc in Treasury Management from Bayero University, Kano, and an MSc in Banking and Finance from the same institution. He also earned a B.Sc. in Economics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

The conferment solidifies his standing as an influential industry leader and reinforces his contribution to Nigeria’s economic and financial development.
