Activist slams Gamji over attack on APC National Chairman

A renowned activist and vibrant youth member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described Murtala Mohammed Gamji as an individual with a questionable personality who tends to gravitate towards those in power to seek powers without any iota of loyalty and dedication.

Recall that Comrade Danesi Momoh Prince, the Convener of All Progressives Congress Youth Solidarity Network (APC-YSN) had, as a concerned party man, accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman of weakening the party and failing to adequately mobilize for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

However, in a swift rebuttal, the Northern Nigerian Youth Leadership Forum under the leadership of Murtala Mohammed Gamji, passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and dared Prince Danesi Momoh-led APC-YSN to desist from their planned protest or face the wrath of Northern youths and APC party faithfuls across the country.

In a press release issued by Prince Danesi Momoh, the activist accused Murtala Mohammed Gamji of being a man of questionable morals who belongs to all political parties and does not have any identity and credentials of to assume any leadership position in the country.

“Let me make it abundantly clear that Murtala Muhammad Gamji is an opportunist who becomes anything for personal gains. He has no state of origin, parades himself as a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University without as little as gaining admission in that University.

“As a man who tries to exploit every situation to his credit, Murtala claims to be a member of all political parties in Nigeria and supports failed leaders for morsels of bread. The so-called he pretends to head does not exist and no youth leader or group in Northern Nigeria will identify with him because of his treacherous and self serving nature.

“As an activist, I don’t need introduction in the APC nor in the civil society circle of this country. Murtala on the other hand, has been an imposter right from his failed National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) struggles as well as his failed attempt to impersonate the National Association of Northern Nigeria Students.

“He is a classical example of bad luck and anyone he identifies with experiences electoral failure or ends up in the land of law enforcement agents because of his crooked ways. The embattled National Chairman should be aware that those who say you are right even when you are wrong are your real enemies not those who criticizes you constructively”, the release stated.

The release concluded by “urging media houses not to entertain obscure and questionable personalities like Murtala Muhammad Gamji on their platforms in order not to question their credibility while urging Nigerians to hold leaders accountable and say no to sycophancy”.

This issue is really getting out of hand. The activist raised a valid point — disagreements should never lead to personal attacks or public harassment, especially toward a national leader like the APC Chairman. Politics should be about dialogue, respect, and ideas, not intimidation. We need to promote maturity in our political engagements. Criticize constructively if necessary, but attacking individuals does not move the country forward. Let’s set a better example for the younger generation. ✊🇳🇬
