Davido supports Ubi Franklin after claims about a stolen watch

Famous Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, well known as Davido, has openly supported his good friend Ubi Franklin after online claims connected the music manager to a stolen watch in Miami.



The gossip started earlier in the week when Tufab, someone who works with Wizkid, shared posts that seemed to say Franklin was involved in the supposed stealing. The talk spread fast on social media, causing replies from well-known people, like Davido’s older brother, Adewale Adeleke.

In a message shared on Wednesday, August 13, Franklin said the claims were totally wrong and not based on facts. “I know about the recent posts online that connect me to a supposed theft. These claims are not based on facts and are completely false,” he said, adding that the claims were meant to hurt his image.

Davido commented on Ubi Franklin’s post, stating that his friend did not need to explain himself to anyone. Instead of focusing on the argument, the singer thought about his recent expensive wedding to Chioma in Miami. “Our wedding was wonderful, absolutely perfect! My wife and I are still enjoying ourselves this much. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you can do, say, or invent to change the truth that we had a dream wedding! It was one of the greatest days—maybe even the greatest day—of our lives! Everyone around the world celebrated us,” Davido said.
